Image Sensor – Battery Replacement

When the batteries in a sensor run low, the panel displays a low battery alert for the sensor. If the customer has subscribed to this notification type, notifications are also sent via the Alarm.com platform.

1. Slide the front of the Image Sensor carefully up and away from the sensor's back.

There is no need to remove or dismount the entire Image Sensor back and mounting arm.

2. To extend battery life, replace the Image Sensor batteries with 2 AA 1.5v Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.

Using standard alkaline batteries significantly reduces battery life.

If the battery type is changed from Ultimate Lithium to Alkaline, ensure that the battery type is also updated on Alarm.com. This ensures that low battery warnings are accurate.

The sensor's operation with alkaline batteries has not been tested for compliance with UL standards.

3. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions or local regulations.

Recommended replacement batteries

Highly recommended:                    Acceptable:                                     Do not use:

AA Energizer Ultimate Lithium               AA Alkaline                                Other lithium, Non-AA

Using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries will significantly increase the Image Sensor's battery life.

The Image Sensor is compatible with standard alkaline batteries, but battery life will be reduced and batteries will need to be replaced more frequently.

Other lithium batteries (for example, 3.6v) and non-AA batteries will not work with the Image Sensor.
