Go Safer Security's Wi-Fi upload Speed Requirements

What are the Wi-Fi upload speed requirements for CCTV Cameras?

1080p2 mb/sec/camera
720p1.5 mb/sec/camera
480p1 mb/sec/camera

Please be aware that the speed requirements are individual per camera. If multiple cameras are streaming simultaneously, the speed requirements would add up. For instance, during an alarm, all cameras will simultaneously record footage.

It's possible to find that your phone's speed test results are faster than the cameras, due to the fact that the Wi-Fi chip in phones is designed for multi-purpose internet browsing, allowing for multiple internet activities at the same time. On the other hand, the Wi-Fi chips in our cameras are specially made for streaming, only needing a maximum of 2 mbps for 1080p, and therefore do not have the same capacity as a phone's Wi-Fi chip.
