Guide to Configure Bluetooth Disarming on the 2GIG Edge

If you want to easily disarm your 2GIG Edge security system using your smartphone, the Bluetooth disarming feature is just what you need. By connecting your phone to your security panel via Bluetooth, you can disarm the system without typing in a code or fumbling with a key fob.

Here's how to configure Bluetooth disarming on your 2GIG Edge:

1. Set Up a User Code for Bluetooth Disarming To use Bluetooth disarming, you need to set up a user code that will be used only for this purpose. Go to the User Management page in the Edge panel's settings and create a new user code, selecting "Bluetooth Disarm" as the user type.

2. Enable Bluetooth Disarming From the Edge panel's home screen, go to Settings > Bluetooth Disarming and toggle the switch to On. Then select the user code you created in Step 1 from the drop-down menu.

3. Pair Your Phone with the 2GIG Edge Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on and in discoverable mode. From the Bluetooth Disarming page on the Edge panel, click the "Pair New Device" button. The panel will begin searching for nearby devices. Select your phone from the list of available devices and follow the prompts to complete the pairing process.

4. Test Bluetooth Disarming Once your phone is paired with the 2GIG Edge, test the Bluetooth disarming feature to make sure it's working properly. From your phone, open the Alarm.com app and tap the "Disarm" button. The 2GIG Edge should disarm, and you'll receive a notification from the app confirming that the system is disarmed.

If you have trouble with any of these steps, make sure your phone is compatible with the 2GIG Edge and that you're using the latest version of the Alarm.com app. You can also check the 2GIG Edge User Guide for more information on Bluetooth disarming and other features.
