Kwikset 916 Touchscreen Deadbolt Battery Replacement Guide

The Kwikset 916 Touchscreen Deadbolt requires four AA batteries.

1. To replace the batteries, ensure the turn piece is in the vertical position.

2. Remove the lock cover.

3. Remove the battery pack.

4. Locate the battery compartment on the device, usually indicated by a small latch or button.

5. Release the latch or press the button to open the battery compartment.

6. Check the polarity markings (+ and -) inside the compartment to ensure you insert the batteries correctly. Place the new AA batteries into the battery compartment, making sure the positive end of each battery is facing the positive (+) marking, and the negative end is facing the negative (-) marking. 

7. Close the battery compartment by pressing the latch or button until it clicks into place.

Note: Using non-rechargeable Alkaline batteries will provide better performance and longer battery life compared to other types of batteries.
